The problem is predictable: PSG’s price. The French champions are demanding a massive fee, but Liverpool are prepared to test their resolve. According to Paul Joyce, the club are readying an offer worth £100m plus add-ons as they try to drag Barcola out of Paris and into Anfield.

City brace for Rodri exit talk

While Liverpool chase flair, Manchester City are quietly planning for something far more unsettling: the possibility of life without Rodri.

One of the headline free agents of the summer, the Serbian striker is still without a club. Marca report that he is holding out for Barcelona, where he is viewed as a back-up option to Julian Alvarez.

That is the gamble. Vlahovic already has a significant offer on the table from Besiktas, but he is willing to wait to see whether Barcelona make their move.
